Jorge Gonzalez

Jorge Gonzalez, age 76, the beloved son of the late Pablo L. Gonzalez, Sr. and the late Petra Maria Vargas has passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on August 2, 2023 in Bridgeport Hospital.  Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico he relocated to the mainland United States and has resided here since.  He loved the Lord and enjoyed being part of the Church family.  He loved singing and worshipping.  He looked forward to his family sharing a great cup of coffee from Dunkin Donuts when they spent time with him. He was one to enjoy being well dressed and was known for his dapper clothing choices.  His sense of humor was paralelled and others enjoyed wonderful times and today are cherishing those memories like the treasures they are.  He will be sadly missed by all.

He is survived by his siblings Victor Gonzalez, Jose A. Gonzalez, Ruben Gonzalez, Elsa Quiñones, Aida Pagan, Norma Gonzalez and Daisy Gusti, his children George Gonzalez, Brenda Gonzalez and Madelline Gonzalez, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and relatives who will dearly miss him.  

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 6:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608.  Final services have been scheduled for Monday, August 7, 2023, beginning at 10:00 A.M.at the Funeral Home followed by interment at the Park Cemetery, 620 Lindley Street, Bridgeport at approximately 11:30 P.M.
