Jalen Alexander Medina

TSgt Jalen Alexander Medina, 29, a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, in Minot, ND.

Jalen was born in Bridgeport, CT on March 15, 1994.  He attended the University of Connecticut for 2 years before deciding to join the military in 2014.  He served in the United States Air Force for nine years, rising to the rank of Technical Sargeant during his first term.

He will be remembered for his quick wit, dry humor and his love for dogs.

Jalen leaves behind a broken-hearted family that loved him more than he could ever know, his mom Migdalia Colón, dad Nelson Medina, brothers Nelson Colón Jr. and Vincent Colón, grandmother Haydee Medina, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who loved him dearly.  He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Tyson.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.  Interment with full military honors will be held immediately after at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
