July 3, 1934 — November 5, 2024

Jacinta Cabrera, a beacon of unwavering faith and vibrant spirit, peacefully departed this earthly realm on November 5, 2024, at the Lord Chamberlain Nursing Home in Stratford, Connecticut. Born on July 3, 1934, in the picturesque town of Naranjito, Puerto Rico, she graced the world with her remarkable presence for many years.

Jacinta was a woman of many dimensions—funny, dynamic, and filled with an intrinsic joy that radiated to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her deep faith in God was the cornerstone of her life, shaping her existence and nurturing those around her. She held strong convictions and offered encouragement with a generosity that left an indelible mark on both family and friends alike.

An exceptional cook, Jacinta was particularly renowned for her pasteles, a culinary delight she proudly shared with her loved ones. Her passion for cooking was only rivaled by her enthusiasm for playing dominoes, a game that brought laughter and camaraderie to her gatherings.

Jacinta’s life was not just about personal pursuits; she dedicated herself to her church, where she actively participated and served the community, embodying the essence of her faith. Her proudest accomplishments echo within her family, as she taught them the wonders of the Lord while instilling a solid foundation for their relationship with God. Furthermore, her unwavering devotion to her late husband Elpidio Morales, whom she lovingly cared for until his final days, illustrated a tender nature that will never be forgotten.

The legacy of Jacinta Cabrera is one of love, humility, and deep-rooted faith. She leaves behind her children Margarita Torres, Eddie Morales, Elpidio Morales Jr., Miguel Morales, Cruz Maria Morales, Carmen Morales, Diana Reboira, Jannette Fernandez, Jorge Morales, Angel Morales, 22 precious grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 3 great great- grandchildren and a brother Andres Cabrera.   She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Antonio Cabrera and Julia Peñalbert and her daughter Daisy Morales.
