Irma M. Rosa, age 70, currently of New Haven, CT has passed away into the Glorious presence of the Lord on Friday, February 18, 2022, in her home. Irma was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the U.S. Mainland at an early age. She resided in Bridgeport for most of her life. She is the daughter of the late Sevaro Rosa and the late Elsie Rosado. She loved to share with others her pride in being from Bridgeport and her Puerto Rican culture. Irma enjoyed listening to music and dancing but above everything loved being with her grandchildren. Many who knew her, family, or even neighbors loved her and called her ma or grandma each time they saw her on the porch of the house. Being the social butterfly she was its no wonder so many came to love her. she will be sadly missed by all.
Irma is survived by her children Wanda Aponte, Jeffrey Gonzalez (Brenda), and Edwin Gonzalez (Victoria). Her siblings Virgilio Rosa, Edwin Rosado, Jose Rosado, Migdalia Rosa, Connie Rosa and Josefa Quintana. Her grandchildren, Nyree, Nia, Jocelyn, Iesha, Jeffrey, Jr., Giovanni, and Roman. Six Great Grandchildren. Her adopted daughter Evelina Gonzalez, and a host of other relatives and friends who will sorely miss her. She was preceded in death by her brother the late William Rosa.
Friends are invited to attend calling hours which will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 4-7 PM at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608.
Final disposition will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
