Iris A. Vazquez

Iris A. Vazquez, 78, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on October 24, 2022, in Bridgeport, CT.  She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to the late Cecilio Vazquez Leon and the late Sixta Laboy Cordero.

Iris was a wonderful person who enjoyed spending time with those she loved.  Her competitive nature was evident in the spirited way she played dominoes, pool and bingo.  What she truly cherished was the time that she spent with her family.

Iris leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter Carmen E. Vargas; her dear brother Angel L. Vazquez Laboy, her precious grandchildren Carmen Rios, Jose Vazquez, Iris Martinez,  Jorge Vazquez and Joselyn Cintron and 13 adoring great-grandchildren and a host of friends and family that will miss her dearly.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, then again on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.  Interment will follow immediately after at Park Cemetery, 625 Lindley Street, Bridgeport, CT.
