Iris Belia Pedraza

Iris Belia Pedraza, age 71, of Southport passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on September 7, 2019 in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT. Iris was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico but had resided in the Bridgeport area for many years, although recently she had resided in Southport as she was being cared for. Iris, the fighter she was, fought a good battle of her health, overcame many obstacles and ultimately, as she became tired, we have no doubt that God saw her struggles and simply said, "Come to me". She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Hector Esquilin, Miguel (Angie) Esquilin, Felipe Miletes, Santos (Ruth Ortega) Miletes, Noel (Valerie Torres) Miletes, and Emilio Miletes; her daughters Carmen Esquilin, Laurie Haas and Diana Haas; her siblings, Pedro J. Pedraza, Felipe Pedraza, Toño Pedraza, Angel L. Pedraza, Chelo Pedraza, Jasmine (Rafael) Pedraza, Lourdes (Felix) Pedraza and Monserrate (Chico) Pedraza; 23 Grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends who will sorely miss her; Friends are invited to attend her viewing/calling hours which will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT; Final disposition will be held privately.
