Iris B. Colon

Iris B. Colón, age 69, of Bridgeport has passed away into the presence of the Almighty on Jan. 14, 2022, in her home. Iris was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico to the late Heriberto Colon and the late Consuelo Morales de Colon. She is the widow of the Late Virgilio Rosario Matos. Iris was a very joyful woman, Iris loved dancing and listening to music. Even in her most recent days when mobility was challenging, she would shimmy it up enjoying herself. Iris Loved the Lord and trusted Him in every part of her life. She had relocated to Connecticut many years ago and resided here since raising her family. Truly a gem that will be greatly missed by all.

Iris leaves to cherish her memory, her sons Virgilio Rosario, Christopher Rosario, and his wife Katherine. Her daughter Leslie Gonzalez and her husband George. Her siblings Jose Morales and his wife Sieglinde, William Rivera, Celia Centeno, Jose L. Garcia, Judith Rivera, and Domingo Rivera. Eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who will dearly miss her.

A Viewing/Visitation will take place on

Wednesday, January 19, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the

Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home),

426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.

The funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 12:30 P.M. and at the end of the funeral service at approximately 1:00 P.M. begin the procession for interment which will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
