Hector M. Torres

Hector M. Torres, age 80, of Bridgeport passed away into the Presence of the Lord on August 14, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT.  Hector was born in Morovis, Puerto Rico but relocated to the United States mainland at an early age and resided here since.  He is the son of the late Manuel Torres and the late Ana M. Perez.  He is the widower of the late Lillian Torres.  His sudden departure leaves questions as to why, but for those who trust the Lord, we know that at that precise moment, God's arms were stretched out wide.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children Lynda Batista and her spouse Joshua, Doris Torres, and Anna M. Torres.  His sisters Blanca Ocasio and Idalia Benejan and her spouse Wilson,  three grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends who will sorely miss him.  

Friends are invited to attend calling hours to be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 P.M.  in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
