Hector Luis Feliciano, 75, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2022, in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico to the late Eduviges Feliciano- Montes and Mercedes Oliveras-Ramos. He is the beloved husband of Migdalia Feliciano for 54 years. He was a believer in God and a long-time member of St. Mary’s Church.
Hector came to Bridgeport when he was 19 to work and help the family he left behind in Puerto Rico. He owned Guayanilla Market on Hallet Street. He worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation where he retired with 17 years of service. He was a strong, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. Hector’s dream was always to return to Puerto Rico when he retired. In 2006 Hector and Migdalia set out to live their dream in their dream home in the mountains of
Guayanilla. He lived out his dream for 16 years before returning back home to
Bridgeport. His hobbies included fishing, playing the guitar, working on his cars, and telling the best jokes at the most random times. He was a very happy and strong person who was dedicated to his family. Hector leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving children Lucilla Feliciano, Milta Feliciano (Guillermo Marin) and Veronica Feliciano-Cruz, husband, Richard Cruz, 7 grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael, Daniel, Vaughn Jayda, Daniela and Zada and one great-grandson, Noah and a sister Luisa Feliciano, and two very special friends that were like brothers to him, Hector Colon and Jose Rodriguez and a host of friends and relatives that will miss him dearly. He will also leave behind his beautiful dogs Taina and Fidito. He is predeceased by his siblings Miguelina Feliciano, Milta Feliciano, Nedinia Feliciano, Daniel Feliciano, Eduviges Feliciano Jr.
