Gregoria Millet

Gregoria Millet, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, in Stratford, Connecticut. Born on July 6, 1922, in Camuy, Puerto Rico, Gregoria lived a life full of vibrant experiences and meaningful connections.

Gregoria was known for her outgoing personality and her attentiveness to those around her. She had an extraordinary ability to connect with people, not hesitating to speak her mind, a trait that endeared her to many. Her family and friends will remember her not just for her strong opinions but for her warmth, kindness, and spirited nature.

As a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great grandmother Gregoria took great pride in her family. She is survived by her children, Brenda (Edwin), Teodora (Shorty), Sandra, Vincent, Nelson and Kelvin alongside an impressive legacy of 65 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Their lives have been enriched by her unconditional love and support.

Gregoria’s interests were as vibrant as her personality. She enjoyed praying the rosary and had a particular fondness for shopping at Walmart, especially for makeup. Additionally, she embraced the thrill of getting good deals at thrift stores and found joy in attending the lively Puerto Rican parades. Her love for visiting friends demonstrated her commitment to nurturing relationships and cherishing shared moments.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Salvador Soler and Maria Villanueva, her husband Vincent Millet, and several of her children: Reinaldo, Zulma, Raul, Angel, Luis, William, Emma, Gladys, Ana, and Olga. Each of these losses marked a profound moment in her life, yet she continued to share her joy and spirit with those who remained.

A visitation to honor Gregoria's life will take place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Following the visitation, a burial service will be held at Park Cemetery Association, located at 620 Lindley Street, Bridgeport, CT, beginning at 1:30 PM.

Gregoria Millet’s legacy of love, family, and community service will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to light the way for her family and friends.
