Gloria I. Rivera Figueroa

Gloria I. Rivera Figueroa, 81, has returned to the loving arms of the Lord on October 26,2022, in her Trumbull residence surrounded by the love of her family.  She was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, to the late Emilio Rivera and Esmeralda Reyes.  She is the beloved wife, of 61 years, of Rene Figueroa.

Gloria was an active member of  The Church of Christ for many years where she worshipped and served the Lord.  She enjoyed visiting amusement parks and was particularly fond of riding merry go rounds.  She was an accomplished cook who enjoyed preparing delicious meals for all occassions.

Aside from her beloved husband Rene, Gloria leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children Elsie and Jesus Rodriguez, Maritza Ramirez, Dorian and Orlando Ramirez, Rene and Ana Figueroa, and Nate and Leslie Figueroa; her precious 9 grandchildren; her dear siblings Elena Aviles, Porfirio Rivera and Alberto Rivera and a host of friends and family that will miss her dearly.  She was predeceased by her siblings Trifida Perez , Alejandrina Ayala, Virginia, Ernesto, Angelica, Angel, and Alexandrina Rivera. 

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 6:00 - 9:00 PM then again on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 10:00 -11:00 at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.  Interment will follow immediately after at Mt. Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
