Felipa Mandry

Felicita "Felipa" Mandry Alicea, 99, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on March 27, 2022, in her home in Stockton, CA surrounded by the love of her family.  She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to the late Luis Mandry and Petra Alicea.  She moved from Ponce to Santa Isabel with her late husband Luis Sanchez Garcia to raise their family.

"Doña Fela" as she was affectionately referred to was a loving mother.  She was a strong woman of conviction, a devoted servant of God and a leader amongst her family.  For most of her life, she worked from home as a seamstress- serving her community.  She ran a clothing retail business from home.  She was a great cook and over the years became popular for her signature "Best Pasteles".  She also made delicious desserts that her family will miss dearly. 

Felipa leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children Jose, Pascual, Federico, Carmen "Lidia", Natividad, Esperanza, Virginia and Gladys,  her adoring siblings Alejandro, Dominga, Lala and Freddie, 43 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren and quadruple great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives that will miss her dearly.  She was predeceased by her children Angel Luis, Sixto, Felix, and Euladia.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 9:00 AM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.  Burial will take place on Saturday, April 2 at 10:00 AM at Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Tpke, Fairfield, CT.
