Estanislao Lopez

Estanislao "Stanley" Lopez, 90, returned to the loving arms of the Lord in his Bridgeport residence on August 23, 2023.  He was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to the late Esteban Lopez and the late Florentina  Alberty.  He is finally reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Julia D. Lopez.

Stanley was a kind-hearted and loyal man with a humble demeanor.  He was a devout catholic who was an active member of the St. Anthony and St. Peter communities.  

He was an avid newspaper reader and enjoyed discussing current events.  Stanley often took leisurely walks at Seaside and Wentfield Parks. He was a big fan of wrestling and loved watching old western movies.  

Stanley leaves behind to honor his memory his loving children Miriam Lopez Nuñez (Paul), Eileen Lopez-Cordone (Vinny), Nancy Lopez-Peralta (Ramon), Erica De Jesus (Luis), Jaime Lopez (Marcela), Johnny Lopez and Stanley Lopez, as well as his precious grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives that will miss him dearly.  Aside from his beloved wife, he is preceded in death by a son, Jose Rodriguez.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.  A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 695 Colorado Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Interment will follow immediately after at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
