Emma Reyes Deliz

Emma Reyes Deliz, 67, of Naugatuck, CT returned to the loving arms of the Lord on January 3, 2024, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT.  She was born in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico to the late Dionisio Deliz and the late Emma Deliz-Lugo.  She was the loving spouse of Juan Cajigas for 38 years.

Emma was a very hard-working person all her life who gave tirelessly of herself working in a variety of settings until her final years when she tended to her family at home.  She was a very cheerful person who always had a warm smile for everyone but was not shy about using colorful words.  Her adventurous spirit drove her to countless trips to casinos and was always willing to try her luck with bingo and scratch offs. Her greatest past time was spent with her family especially when they were opening gifts.

Emma leaves behind to honor her memory her beloved Juan, her brother Oscar Deliz, her loving children Emma Reyes, Juan Reyes and the late Israel Reyes, her precious grandchildren Vyara and Jacob, who took great pride in the excellent care they provided her, as well as Tatyanna, Christian, Isaiah, Tianna, Dannisha, Shameliz, Yetzaidaly, Meliza and her first great grandchild (Adriel) who is expected soon. As well a host of relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.  

She was preceded in death by her parents the late Dionisio Deliz and the late Emma Deliz-Lugo, her siblings the late Olga Deliz and the late Maria Garce Deliz.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
