Emilio Rivera Jr.

Emilio Rivera Jr., 75, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on November 8, 2021, at the Veteran's Medical Center in West Haven, CT. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Emilio Rivera Sr. and Edelmira Aponte. He is the beloved husband of Carmen M. Negron Rivera.

Emilio proudly served this great nation in the United States Army. Afterward, he was a dedicated sheet metal mechanic until his retirement. He was a music enthusiast who appreciated all types of music and was often heard singing. His greatest times were spent with his family, especially with his grandchildren.

Emilio leaves behind to cherish his memory his beautiful wife Carmen, his loving children Leonard and Edward (Lisa), 9 adoring grandchildren, his devoted sisters Suzie Rivera and Juana Reyes, his best friend Johnny Rios (Millie) and a host of friends and relatives that will miss him sorely. He was predeceased by a son Daniel Rivera.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 10:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo, 391 Ogden Street, Bridgeport, CT. Interment with full military honors will take place on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 10:30 am at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 817 Old Colony Road, Meriden, CT.
