Elsie Maldonado, age 58, daughter of the late Norberto Ramos and the late Florencia Rodriguez, has passed away from the presence of this earth into the Glorious presence of the Almighty on December 7, 2019 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. Elsie was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago. She married Ivan Maldonado whom she has been married to for over 35 years. Elsie was employed as a School Crossing Guard supervisor in the City of Bridgeport where she was working for over 26 years. Although some may feel its a simple task, there was nothing simple for in making sure the children were appropriately directed and given the highest attention by those she supervised, and together with all those assigned, making sure safety was a priority. Elsie was a very joyful woman, who enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She looked forward to her retail therapy, which she enjoyed doing periodically. She also spent good times with friends and was considered a social butterfly whenever she was around. Those that knew her also understood her eagerness to want to help those around her. She was a selfless woman and was always ther if and when you needed her.
In addition to her husband, Ivan Maldonado, Elsie leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters Evelyn Padilla and Diana Maldonado, and her two sons Ivan Maldonado and Jose Barbosa; sixteen grandchildren, eight siblings and a host of other relatives and friends whom will miss her tremendously. Although her presence on this earth may be considered brief by many, her memory, her works and her genuine heart will be remembered by all who ever knew her.
