Efren BOBO Marrero

Efren "BOBO" Marrero, age 56, the beloved son of Jorge L. Marrero and Carmen A. Melendez has passed away into the peaceful, Glorious presence of the Lord on April 11, 2019 in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT; Efren was born in Villalba, Puerto Rico before relocating with his family to the Bridgeport area where he has resided since. Efren had a love for family and spending quality time with them; He loved music, specifically Salsa which he enjoyed not only listening but also playing his maracas during those great family moments and events; on his downtime, he would find pleasure in his relaxing times with simple things such as doing puzzles in a book. Truly a good-hearted soul that enjoyed the simple things in life and cherished that which was valuable, which would be his family; He stopped at nothing as he would be there, not only his family but many others as he would make sure they would get to the appts. and wherever else they needed to go and Efren found it his mission simply to be there for them whenever needed; Efren is survived by his son Efren Marrero, Jr.; his daughters Milagros Marrero and Carmen Marrero; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his siblings, Jorge Marrero, Jr., Marilyn Marrero, Carlos Melendez, Evelyn Melendez, Samuel Melendez, Rene Melendez, Maritza Mulholland, Awilda Melendez, Elizabeth Deschnow, Excel Marrero, Zulma Marrero, Maria Marrero, Michelle Cruz and Jorge Marrero,; and a host of other relatives and friends whom will surely miss him; He was predeceased by his wife the late Carmen Vargas; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608; Funeral services have been scheduled for Thursday, April 18, 2019, beginning at 11:00 A.M.
