Edwin Villafañe

Edwin Villafañe, age 56, of Bridgeport, passed away into the presence of the Lord on May 31, 2022, in Bridgeport, CT. Edwin was born in Hartford, CT but at a young age had relocated to the Bridgeport area where he has resided since then.  He is the son of Ramon Falcon of Puerto Rico and Luz Luna (Felipe Luna) of Bridgeport. Edwin was a young man who loved sports, especially basketball, and loved playing a good game of "hoop" with his friends.  Edwin enjoyed the outdoors, nature, and furthermore some peaceful moments fishing.  He graduated from Harding High School in Bridgeport and throughout the time he spent in college, continued demonstrating his great intellectual abilities by having an exemplary GPA, & having been received into various honor societies.  When spending time with family and friends, during gatherings, everyone knew Edwin was the one to keep an eye on.  They knew he had something up his sleeve as any chance he had, he would pinch someone, pull a strand of hair, and just be the joyful spirited self he was.  Those times are never forgotten, those moments will be cherished for years, and today are the memories that will hold a place in their hearts forever.

In addition to his parents, Edwin is survived by his children Jasmine Villafañe, Joshua Villafañe, Jessica Villafañe, Tina Alicea, and Edwin Villafañe, Jr.  His siblings, Ray, Gloria, Doris,  Dennis, Jose, Alberto Yvette, Leslie, and Marisol. one grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever remember his smile.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 11:30 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.

Final disposition will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
