Edwin Cedeño

Edwin Cedeño Muñoz, Sr., age 90, of Bridgeport has passed away into the peaceful arms of the Lord on January 3, 2023, at the Arden Nursing Home in Hamden, CT.  He was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico and was the son of the late Tomas Cedeño and Ramona Muñoz.  He resided in Bridgeport for 62 years. 

Edwin was predeceased by his ex-wife Carmen Cedeño, son David Cedeño and Edwin Cedeño, Jr.  Edwin was the eldest of 13 siblings: Milagros, Radames, Noel, Esther, Isaura, Evelyn, Eva, Anabel, Ofelia, Oriol, Raul and Maria.

Edwin was employed with Bridgeport Plating Company and Nancy Lynn Bakery for several years, then Avco Lycoming Textron of Stratford, Connecticut until his retirement.  Edwin enjoyed playing pool, dominoes and loved being around his family and grandchildren.

Edwin leaves wonderful memories of him to be cherished by his sons; Orlando Cedeño (Emily), and Peter Martinez (Evelyn) of Stratford; Eight grandchildren: Adriana Cedeño Medina (Samuel), Brittany, Violetta, Nanichi, Guanin Cedeño and Carolina, Carina and Christopher Martinez, as well as a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue,  Bridgeport, CT.  Immediately following the funeral, burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
