David Alvarez Perez-Age 68, of Bridgeport passed away into the glorious presence of the Lord on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT while surrounded by his loving family. David was born in Loiza, Puerto Rico to the late Aurelio Alvarez and the late Providencia Perez but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago. A loving man with an unparalleled sense of humor who simply loved spending time with his family and non stop worked, even after his "retirement"; He always made sure smiling and laughing were part of his day to day interaction with everyone he came across. His contagious joy will never be forgotten, but now more than ever he is joyous in the presence of the Lord. David is survived by his beloved wife Ana Celia Alvarez; his sons David Alvarez, Jr. (Madeline), and Edgar Alvarez (Suzette Oquendo); his daughter Abigail Alvarez Quiles (Nathaniel); his brother Raul A. Perez, Israel Alvarez and Hector Joel Alvarez; his sister Luz Celenia Alvarez Perez; Grandchildren Isaiah A. Fonseca, David Alvarez, III, Edgar E. Alvarez, Ariana Alvarez, Ezequiel Alvarez, Noah N. Quiles, Tatyana Quiles, Karina Gonzalez, Elizer Gonzalez, and Giovanni Gonzalez; and host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT; funeral services have been scheduled for Tuesday, November 21, 2017 beginning at 10:00 A.M.
