Cristina was a beautiful free spirit, with a heart of gold, who was taken too soon. She was a great sister, cousin, aunt, daughter and dear friend. Wherever she went, she immediately made friends, and was comfortable in any setting. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and dived headfirst into learning new things, whether a new language like Japanese or French to exploring various career options from a restaurant manager to Electrician to party planner to recently getting her LLC and getting a new business off the ground, just to name a few. Cristina proved to be a go-getter and set out to do any and everything that not only brought her joy, but ensuring she was self-sufficient. She was an avid traveler. In the last year alone, she took a leap and moved to North Carolina. Always thinking and caring for others, she came not just for herself, but to support family. In that short time, she made many new friends, she enrolled in a technical school to become a home inspector, went horseback riding, to concerts, and travelled extensively. No matter where she travelled, if family was there, she would make sure to see and spend time with them. Other hobbies included sewing, crocheting, painting, restoring vintage furniture and gardening. Cristina was an always will be a doll. To know her was to love her. Always smiling, always positive, always saw the glass as half full. Our earth angel now has her wings. Cristina is survived by her parents, Janet Cruz (Bridgeport, CT) and Israel Hernandez Crespo, (Camden, NJ); sisters Maria Hernandez (Camden, NJ), Yvonne Johnson (Bridgeport, CT), Angie Johnson (Bridgeport, CT), Annie Hernandez-Cruz (Bridgeport, CT); brother Ismael Hernandez Cruz (Bridgeport, CT); maternal aunts and uncle Migdalia (Walter) Urriola, Margarite (Nathaniel) Wilson, David (Jennifer) Cruz; Jacqueline (Wimley) Jimenez-Moore, maternal cousins Marissa, Mia and many others; paternal aunts and uncles Ana, Julio, Manuel, Willy, Francisco, Santo, Provi, Neida, Sonia Hernandez., A host of First Cousins, Nieces/Nephews that she loved dearly as well as a host of other family and friends.
