Clara Ann Sperling

Clara Ann Sperling, 76, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on May 3, 2022, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT, surrounded by the love of her family.  A native of Bridgeport she was the only child of the late William K. Hord and the late Edith Corbett.

Clara was a dedicated employee of the Bridgeport Nutrition Center for the Bridgeport public school system. She proudly served the students at Columbus School and Webster School.  She appreciated the beauty and grace of butterflies. 

Clara leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children John Lovar (Dale), Kimberly Hord (Felix), Dawn Sperling and Michelle Sperling, 8 precious grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a longtime dear friend Herman Brito,   and a host of friends and family that will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by a brother William F. Hord.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Luz de Paz Funeral Home, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
