Charles A. Henderson III

Charles A. Henderson, III, age 66, passed away on February 1, 2023, at his home, from natural causes.

He was born on May 8, 1956, in Washington, D.C. In the early sixties, Charles, with his mother, Ann Henderson, and sister, Deborah Thompson, moved to Bridgeport, CT.  He attended Bridgeport Public Schools and graduated from Central High in 1973.

Charles’ mom, Ann Henderson, passed away on October 25, 2008, and his sister, Deborah Thompson, passed away on March 15, 2019. Both were Bridgeport residents. His father, Charles A. Henderson, passed, on February 22, 2003, in Washington, D.C.

Charles is survived by his uncle, Furman Miller, of Lancaster, CA,  and his nephew, Calvin Thompson, of Cape Coral, FL.

Other survivors include numerous cousins, including, Kenneth E. Tucker, Sr., Phoenixville, PA., Marsha Newson, Gilbertsville, PA., Wishum Twitty, Durham, NC, Desiree Palmer, Durham, N.C., Arthur Williams, Pasadena, CA., Rina Tucker Harris, Burke, VA., Kenneth E. Tucker, Jr., Bridgeport, CT., Caroline Rucker, Coral Springs, Fl., Leasella Bongiovanni, Moorestown, NJ., Alexis Williams, Orlando, FL., and Julien James, of Los Angeles, CA.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon, on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at:

A few days after the service, Charles’ ashes will be interred by his late mother, Ann Henderson, at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06610.
