Carolyn Jane Mendez

Carolyn Jane Mendez, 67, the beloved wife of Jose (Tony) Mendez has passed into the arms of the Lord on April 9, 2021 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. Carolyn was born in Huntington, New York prior to moving to Bridgeport. She also resided in New Canaan and Stamford, CT. Carolyn graduated from The University of Bridgeport (UB) with a Bachelor's degree. She worked at Woodway Country Club in Darien and later at the Brass Rail Restaurant in Stamford, CT. She also worked at Fairfield University in the registrar's office. Carolyn loved arts and craft shows, Antiques, movies about the British royalty, and loved to be near the water like St. Mary's by the Sea. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents, the late William and the late Karola Schuette, and her brother, the late Bill Schuette. Survivors include her husband Jose (Tony) Mendez of Bridgeport, CT; her son Michael (Karen) Mendez of Wyckoff, New Jersey, and her son David Mendez of Bridgeport; her two adorable grandkids, Isabelle Jade and Isaac Hunter Mendez of Wyckoff, New Jersey; her sisters Margaret Schuette of New York City and Dorothy (Anthony) Molgano of Norwalk, CT. A Memorial Service will be held at the Congregational Church of New Canaan, 23 Park Street, New Canaan, CT on June 12, 2021 commencing at 11:00 A.M. Meanwhile, memorial prayers, and well wishes may be shared on this page which will in turn allow the family to know that although her passing she is not forgotten.
