Carmen M Sotomayor

Carmen Maria Sotomayor, 56, returned to the loving arms of the Lord in her home.  She was born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico to the late Jose A. Sotomayor and the late Carmen R. Aviles.

Carmen was a very vibrant person who was a true social butterfly.  She was an avid salsa dancer and took great pride in her Puerto Rican ancestry.  What she cherished most was the time that she spent with her family especially her nieces and nephews whom she loved unconditionally.

Carmen leaves behind to honor her memory her loving siblings Jeanette Lopez (Albert Sosa) and Gilberto Rios; her precious nephews and nieces; and the children that grew in her heart Melissa, Baby Lee, Jeanelle and Mookie; and a host of friends and family that will miss her dearly.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.  Interment will follow immediately after at Park Cemetery, 625 Lindley Street, Bridgeport, CT.
