Carmen G. Perez

Carmen G. Perez, age 82, currently of Kissimmee, Florida has passed into eternal rest on April 19, 2021 in her home while surrounded by her family. Carmen was born in Canovanas, Puerto Rico to very humble parents the late Vicente Guerra and the late Flor Jimenez. Long ago she had relocated to the Bridgeport area and had resided here for many years prior to relocating to Kissimmee with her family in an effort to seek a warmer climate. She was one of seven children in the home of which only two currently are surviving her. Her two sisters are Natividad Guerra and Flor Maria Guerra. On September 8, 1962 she married Alejandro Perez and was married to him over 48 years not including their 8 years of courtship. Carmen was a beautiful woman, very brave, strong in her convictions and a business woman, always ready for whatever came her way, an innovator and committed to the purpose she was working towards at any time. She was a woman of love, compassion and empathy who loved the Lord and made sure her relationship with the Lord was on point for the day God called her home. In addition to her sisters, Carmen is survived by her son Alejandro Perez Jr. and his spouse Merly Nuny Perez and her daughter Carmen Teresa Perez and her spouse Francisco Montañez; her grandchildren Keila Vasques Perez, Alexys Perez, Juan Gabriel Ayala, Loammi Ayala, Karla Santana, Hector Santana and Noel Vasques; her great grandchildren Juan Gabriel Ayala Jr., Jeremiah Vasques, Isabelle Vasques, Adriana Santana, Angelique Santana, Chanel Santana, and Angel Vasques. She will be sadly missed by all. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, April 25, 2021 from 5-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608. On Tuesday, April 26, 2021, those wishing to accompany the family to the burial can gather in the parking lot of the funeral at 10:45 A.M. followed by a departure to the Middletown Veteran's Cemetery, where they will be laying her to rest with her husband the late Alejandro Perez who had preceded her in death and was a United States Veteran.
