Carmen Maria Miranda Reyes

Carmen Maria Miranda Reyes, 91, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on October 13, 2023, in her Bridgeport residence surrounded by the love of her family.  She was born in Ciales, Puerto Rico to the late Juan Miranda and the late Francisca Reyes.  She is the beloved widow of the late Eduardo Rivera.

Carmen spent most of her life working tirelessly caring for her family.  During the time she lived in New York she briefly worked as a vendor.  Her priority was her family which she nurtured and tended to with great detail.  She was an amazing cook who prepared each meal with great "sazon criollo" and a dash of love.  She took time to share her knowledge with her children and grandchildren.  

Carmen leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children Ana Delia Rosado, Iris Noelia Rosario, Angel Rosado, Eduardo Rivera, Felipe Rivera, Osvaldo Rivera, Carmen DeJesus Rivera, Migdalia Rivera, Daisy Vazquez and Hector Rivera, her precious 43 grandchildren, 101 great grandchildren and 48 great great grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives that will miss her dearly.  She was predeceased by her children Juan Luis Rosado, Juan A. Rivera and Elizabeth Rivera.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.  Final interment will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 11:30 AM at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
