Carmen Soltero Figueroa Morales

Carmen Soltero Figueroa Morales, age 90, passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on April 20, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT. Carmen is the daughter of the late Jose A. Soltero and the late Carmen J. Soltero.  Carmen was born in Villalba, Puerto Rico but relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago.  Most recently she relocated to Milford, Connecticut.  Carmen was a very talented seamstress who blessed so many with the work of her hands.  She was a talented crocheter whose masterpieces are still enjoyed by many.  These talents are rarely seen today.  

Carmen is the mother of the late Rafael Duarte, Jorge Diaz, Jr., Eleuterio Diaz (Milagros), Gilberto A. Morales (Maria), and William Morales, (Marlene).  Seventeen grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchild. Many other relatives and friends will sorely miss her. In addition to her parents and son, she was also preceded in death by her siblings the late Emma Ocasio and the late Jose Soltero.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, April 25, 2022, from  10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.   Interment will follow in  Mt. Grove Easton Cemetery, Easton, CT.
