Carmen Diaz

Carmen Diaz passed peacefully into the loving arms of Our Savior Jesus Christ on August 16, 2022. She was preceded in death by her mother Carmen, father Victor Nieves, her sister Milagros Nieves, brother Jesus Nieves, sister Eldemira Ramirez, and her granddaughter Laura Diaz.

Carmen was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her brother Victor Nieves, sisters Myrna Rodriguez and Olga Nieves-Gamiddo,  her children Mirta Roman, Marisol Diaz, Evelyn Diaz, Gonzalo Diaz, Jose Diaz, and Johnny Diaz along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carmen dedicated many of her years of life caring for the lives of those she loved including her children and several of her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She had a love for reading the Bible, listening to music, and had an immaculate eye for decor. She will be missed by all and her love will continue on within our hearts. 

The family would like to thank you, for your prayers and support during this time.  Your shared memories, comforting condolences, and gestures of love are truly appreciated.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.  Burial will follow immediately after at Mt. Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
