Carlina Soto

Carlina Soto, 87, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on October 14, 2021, in Poinciana Medical Center, Poinciana, FL. She was born to the late Adolfo Soto and the late Enriqueta Gonzalez in Hatillo, Puerto Rico. She is the beloved widow of the late Gilberto Portalatin. Together they lived in Bridgeport, CT for many years before retiring to Florida.

Carlina was a very talented woman. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and singing. Her greatest passion was gardening. She had a bountiful green thumb and her flowers were appreciated by all.

Carlina leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children Alberto, Luz, and Zulma, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives that will miss her sorely.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, from 6-8 PM and Tuesday, October 26, 2021, from 10 - 11 A.M. at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Burial will follow immediately after at Park Cemetery, 620 Lindley Street, Bridgeport, CT.
