Candida Rosa Montalvo Perez, age 82 most recently of Bridgeport, returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord on Friday, June 14, 2019. She was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico; daughter of the late Dionisio Montalvo Medina and Herminia Perez Barreto prior to relocating to Connecticut many years ago. Candida loved to cook and pass down traditions, especially during Thanksgiving. She loved spending time at the Casinos - specifically the slot machines - as well as doing her crosswords, word searches, and puzzles. She is the loving mother of Alicia (Polo) Chiluisa, Alberto (Judy) Hernandez, and Carlos Gonzalez (Gloria Tavares); the caring grandmother of Erika Chiluisa, Evelyn James, Lisette Hernandez, Jennifer Chiluisa, Giovanni Gonzalez, Jeremy Gonzalez; and the adoring great-grandmother of 12; and the sister of Carmen Montalvo, Prudencia Montalvo, Margarita Montalvo, Maria Montalvo, Pedro Montalvo, Dionisio Montalvo. She was predeceased by her siblings, Maria Elisea Montalvo, Cecilio Perez, Confesora Montalvo, Jose Montalvo, Marcelina Montalvo, Juanita Montalvo.
