Billy Santiago, age 57, of Bridgeport has passed to the Peaceful rest of the Lord on January 5, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital. Billy was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico but had moved to the Bridgeport area at an early age. He is the son of the late Monserrate Santiago (Ruthy) and Catalina Santiago of Bridgeport. Billy was retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections where he was employed over 22 years. A good man with a heart of gold, Billy enjoyed the simple things in life and loved his family beyond what words could ever explain. He was an awesome pool player, at times competing with others in some really intense competitions. His warm nature and caring personality allowed him to be appreciated by many and loved by all.
In addition to his mother, Billy is survived by his siblings Javier Santiago and Ivonne Santiago. His stepbrother Joseph Santiago, his stepsister Crystal Santiago, and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends he considered like family, who all will sorely miss him.
