Betty Jean Taft

Betty Jean Taft, age 69,currently of Bridgeport, returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord on Monday, September 10, 2018 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. She was born in Newport News, Virginia to the late William Taft and Martha Branch. She is survived by her daughters Brigitta Taft, Carla Dixon, and Shelitha Taft; Her brothers David Taft and Willie Taft; her sisters Anne Moore, Juanita Granger, Iola Taft, Mary Cook, and Wilma Taylor; her Grandchildren Starr Taft, Spring Taft, Stavon Taft, Comfort Dixon, Eduardo Dixon, and A'Honor Dixon; her great-grandchildren Stavon Taft Jr. and Judah Michael; her goddaughter Orlanda Strong; her life time friends Fannie Ridley and Norma Jean Austin; and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. She is predeceased by her brother William Taft, Jr. Friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 9-11 a.m. at East End Baptist Church, 548 Central Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06607.
