Auriol Cueva, 97, returned to the loving arms of the Lord in Winter Haven, Florida. He was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Segundo Cueva and the late Carmen Gonzalez. He was the widower of the late Anna E. Cueva.
Auriol was a dedicated laborer. During the times he lived in Puerto Rico he was a prosperous farmer. In Connecticut he worked as a machine operator in the manufacturing industry until his retirement from Bridgeport Metal Goods. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching boxing and playing dominoes. He was pious man who actively served the Lord as a member of St. Charles Parish in Bridgeport. He was also involved with the Knights of Columbus.
Auriol leaves behind to honor his memory his loving children Raul and his wife Blanca Sonia, Julia, Carmen and Elizabeth and her husband Nelson, his precious grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives that will miss him dearly. He was also predeceased by his children Antonia and Ramon.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and again on Monday, April 3, 2023, from 8:45 AM - 9:45 AM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 391 Ogden St., Bridgeport, CT. Interment will follow immediately after at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
