Aurelia Galeano Gonzalez

Aurelia Galeano Gonzalez, age 70 of Bridgeport, returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord on Monday, March 16, 2020 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. She was born in Paraguay; but had relocated to the United States many years ago. Along with most of her family she resided in New York for many years and most recently had relocated to Connecticut where she was closer to her children, grandchildren and great grand children; Like any mother, she loved to be with her children and when it came to her grand and great grandchildren, she would be elated to spend time with them every time she saw them was priceless; Aurelia is the daughter of the late Francisco Galeano and the late Margarita Paredes de Galeano. She was always a homemaker which means her job was never done as she was committed completely to her children and grandchildren, great grandchildren and making sure the home was the best place to be. That at home they found love, they found food, they found everything they needed. A special soul none the less because a homemaker's job is never done, it simply means that the heart had more power than that of any money she could ever obtain by focusing her energy at work. Aurelia had a strong and silent faith, one that connected with God, that would entail a deep personal relationship that allowed her to trust in the Lord completely for every step of the way in life. Truthfully, a relationship that every thing she asked God, he allowed her to experience before her passing. Aurelia is the loving mother of Fanny M. Andujar and Hugo Gonzalez; the grandmother of Nashali Gonzalez, Donte DeJesus, Maritza DeJesus, and Jerimiah Gonzalez; the great-grandmother of Josiah N. DeJesus, Galeano Osani DeJesus, and Julia O. DeJesus; and the sister of Lorenzo Galeano, Pablo Galeano, Pedro Galeano, Baldomera Galeano, Teodoro Galeano, Aurelio Ramon Galeano and Nelly Galeano. Friends are invited to attend calling hours which will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2020 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Where everyone is treated like Family), 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT; Funeral services have been scheduled for Monday, beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 10:30 AM. Interment will be held at the Mt. Grove Easton Cemetery, Easton, CT; PLEASE BE ADVISED and remain vigilant and attentive to announcements: AS of TODAY, March 21, 2020 Due to the Corona Virus (COVID 19), by letter from the State of Connecticut Health Department dated Monday, March 16, 2020, the funeral home is required to maintain a maximum level of attendees INSIDE the funeral home which CANNOT EXCEED 50 PERSONS INSIDE THE FACILITY AT ANY GIVEN TIME. Although some medical professionals have advised the number not to exceed 10 (and we know that number is much safer, the formal Health Department regulation states 50 attendees. Therefore, OUR GOAL is that while such orders are formally stated, we will be permitting the maximum 50 attendees, BUT be advised if there are more than 50 persons, announcements will be made throughtout the funeral home where we will advise others of persons who may be waiting outside to come in to pay their respects. Unless persons go out, we are absolutely UNABLE to open for admittance to anyone else unless some from inside the facility exits. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere which would be consistent to that of a peaceful caring nature, therefore consideration to such situation our country is confronting at this time, please be considerate and cautious for others who may have come from afar to see Aurelia and would also like to have one moment even if its all they are able to have to give a warm embrace and allow the family to know they also were part of the support system they could count on.
