Antonio Padua

April 20, 1926 — November 10, 2021

Antonio Padua Medina age 95, of Bridgeport, CT passed away into the peaceful eternal rest of the Lord on 11/10/21 in Bridgeport, CT. Antonio was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. At a very young age he left for New York where he lived for approximately five years but relocated to the Bridgeport area in 1952 where he resided until his passing. He is the son of the late Eugenio Padua and the late Antonia Medina. He was the beloved husband of the late Dominga Padua who pre-deceased him in 2014 and to whom he was married to for thirty-seven years at the time of her passing. Although they never had children of their own, Antonio and Dominga took great joy in making contributions throughout many years to foundations like Save the Children, St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital and Feed the Children. He was a loyal member of the Pentecostal Church of God IM for many years. He was a kind and gentle man who was more than loved by many. His passions were listening to Christian music, wearing an array of baseball caps and other hats, eating at restaurants, traveling, collecting clocks and watches, as well as spending time with his adopted family and making them laugh with his antics. His favorite phrase was saying, “I’m a beautiful man!” encouraged and cheered on by the Pagan-Rodriguez family. He is survived by a host of friends, especially Elisael Rodriguez (who smuggled him all the forbidden junk food he could want) and his caretakers for the past eight years Wilfredo, Nancy and Bethany Pagan who will cherish his memory and miss him dearly. He fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith, now there is in store for him the crown of righteousness which the Lord will award him on that day (2 Timothy 4:7-8). Contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
