Antonio Acosta, born on March 22, 1930, in Arroyo, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024, in Newtown, Connecticut. Antonio's life was a testament to hard work, devotion, and unwavering faith.
For many years, Antonio worked diligently as a factory worker specializing in sheet metal. His skilled hands and dedicated spirit contributed to the creation of structures that will stand the test of time. Yet, it was his unwavering faith and commitment to his beliefs that truly defined his life.
Antonio was a devout believer in the Lord’s word. His deep faith inspired him to become the Founder of Fuente de Salvación Church, not once but seven times, establishing places of worship and community that have touched countless lives. His legacy in the church is a beacon of hope and faith for many.
Antonio is survived by his beloved sons David, Sammy, and Israel, as well as his 18 cherished grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his cherished wife, Sotera Acosta, his loving children Daniel, Noel, and Ruth, and his parents, Enrique Acosta and Sofia Donato. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
The family will receive visitors on June 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Ave, Bridgeport, CT, 06608. A burial will follow at Park Cemetery, 620 Lindley Ave, Bridgeport, CT, 06604.
Antonio's life was a rich tapestry of love, faith, and dedication. He leaves behind a profound legacy that will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the remarkable life he lived and the everlasting impact he had on our hearts.
