Angel Cedeño, age 64, passed away peacefully with family on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 in Puerto Rico. He was born in Jersey City; son of Julio and Divina Cedeño prior to relocating to the Connecticut area many years ago.
Angel is not just his name; he truly was sent from above to make so many happy in his own way.
Because of Angel's love and kindness, it helped his nephew Sammy Rivera care and treat him as the son he never had.
The love and respect was mutual and only got stronger with time.
Mallery Rivera, Sammy’s wife, and kids Nicholas, Samantha and Madeline spent years building a bond unlike any other and he will truly be missed.
He is survived by his father Julio Cedeño of Florida his sisters Lucy Merced, Evelyn Cedeño, Margarita Gonzalez, Violet Cedeño, Maria Marquez, Ester Rodriguez and his brothers Victor Cedeño and Nelson Marquez.
He will be joined in heaven by his mother Divina Cedeño and his sister Julia Cedeño
Angel is the caring brother of Victor M. Cedeño, Nelson Marquez, Lucy D. Cedeño, Evelyn Cedeño, Maria Marquez, Violeta Cedeño, and Ester Cedeño. He was predeceased by his sister, Julia Cedeño.
Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Second Star of Jacob Church, 201 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06513. His interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven, CT.
Funeraria Luz de Paz has been entrusted with Angel's care during this time.
