 Angel L. Acevedo

August 19, 1941 – January 14, 2025

Angel L. Acevedo, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at his home on January 14, 2025. He was 83 years old.

Born on August 19, 1941, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Angel was the son of the late Rafael Acevedo and the late Restituta V. Acevedo. He was a man who found joy in the simple things in life, embracing every moment with a humble heart. His love for visiting the casino and living a low-maintenance lifestyle perfectly captured his appreciation for life's small pleasures.  He was a devoted bus driver for Greater Bridgeport Transit for over 20 years until his retirement.

He is survived by his devoted children: Angelo Acevedo, Jolanda Acevedo, Janet Acevedo Falcon, Elizabeth Acevedo, and his brother Rafael Acevedo.  His memory will continue to live on through his 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the love and wisdom he shared with them.

Angel was predeceased by his siblings, Catalina Acevedo, Enrique Acevedo and his beloved son Angel G. Acevedo. He leaves behind many other loving relatives and friends who will deeply miss his presence and the warmth he brought into their lives.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Angel's life during a viewing on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home, located at 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608.  Interment will follow immediately after at Park Cemetery, 625 Lindley St., Bridgeport, CT

Angel L. Acevedo will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love, simplicity, and joy will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
