Andres Dolores Rodriguez

Andres Dolores Rodriguez passed away on June 30, 2023, in Bridgeport, CT. Born on November 20, 1932, in Manati, Puerto Rico, Andres led a beautiful, grateful, and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of those around him.

Andres was a man of many talents and a great sense of humor. He believed in the power of family and found solace in spending time with his loved ones. His family was his proudest accomplishment in life, and he poured his heart and soul into nurturing these relationships.

Andres possessed a sharp mind and an eagerness to do whatever it took to get the job done. He had a knack for fixing just about everything and approached challenges with a can-do inventive attitude. 

Music and dancing brought joy to Andres's life. From lively salsa beats to soothing melodies, he embraced the rhythm that resonated deep within him. His love for music was a product of his upbringing in his beautiful hometown in Manati, Puerto Rico. He would often dance along with his family, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and happiness.

In addition to his skills as a handyman, Andres was also known for his culinary talents. He had a way of transforming simple ingredients into mouthwatering dishes that brought everyone together at the dinner table. His menus were not only delicious but also served as a medium for love and connection.

Andres will be dearly missed by his surviving family members: his loving wife Myrna Rodriguez of 66 years their children son Andre Rodriguez Jr., daughter Carmen Perez (Henry), son Eli Rodriguez (Sandy),  daughter Nancy Ruggiri,  daughter Maria Wilkinson (Arthur), daughter Myrna Vargas (George) son Juan Rodriguez; son Michael Rodriguez (Silvia); daughter Jacqueline Rodriguez; daughter Margarita Vazquez; daughter Nilza Timmons (John). He leaves behind an incredible legacy through his 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts.

The services for Andres will be held on July 6, 2023. Public Viewing/Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 6, 2023, beginning at 10:00 AM until 1:00 P.M.  at the funeral home.  A Funeral Service will begin at approximately 12:30 PM in the funeral home.  Departure will follow at approximately 1:30 P.M. to the St. Michael's Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave, Stratford, CT, where we should arrive at approximately 1:45-2:00 P.M. for interment.  

Andres touched the lives of those who knew him with his warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. His presence and laughter will be deeply missed but never forgotten. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, let us celebrate the beautiful life Andres lived and the extraordinary impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
