Ana Rita Duran Vizcaino, 98, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on December 13, 2023, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. She was born in the Dominican Republic to the late Leo Virgildo Vergar and the late Juanica Duran. She was the loving wife of Nelson Vizcaino, for almost 70 years.
In 1979 Ana's adventurous spirit brought her to the United States. She was a dedicated employee of Emson Research. In her spare time she enjoyed music and dancing at the legendary Crystal Ballroom in Bridgeport, CT. She was actively involved in a number of social clubs as well as a sports enthusiast supporting the Bustelo softball league. She was an accomplished seamstress as well as a talented cook who's savory dishes will be missed by many.
Aside from her loving husband, Ana leaves behind to honor her memory dear children Nelson Vizcaino, Austria Veloz and Hector "Moreno" Vizcaino, 11 precious grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives that will miss her dearly.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, from 8:00 AM - 10:45 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, 25 Sherman Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Interment will follow immediately after at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
