Aida Rafaela Lopez Gigi Rivera

Aida Rafaela Lopez Rivera, “Granny”, "Gigi", age 93, currently of Orlando, Florida, passed away on October 5, 2018 in her home while in the presence of her family; Aida was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico to the late Juan DeDios Rivera and the late Emilia Negron on November 24, 1924. She attended the schools in Barranquitas prior to moving to Bridgeport at an early age; She was employed at numerous companies and held a variety of positions as she raised and supported her five children; Aida is pre deceased by her sons Pedro I. Berrios (Aby), and Jose O. Lopez (Joey). Aida is survived by her sons Felix D. Berrios, Edwin A. Lopez and her daughter Martha Y Augusto; her grandchildren Rosa Milagros, Raymond Luis Lopez, Jose Orlando Lopez, Aida Rosa, Milagros, Felix Berrios, Jose Lopez, Erica Berrios, Jessica Gallagher, Karl Berrios, Jennifer Harrison, Denise Blake, Frank Augusto, Edwin A. Lopez, II. and Selena Lopez; her sister Teresa Rivera; her brother Carlos Rivera; and a host of great grandchildren, nephews and nieces, whom will dearly miss her; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Families First at Luz de Paz), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT; Funeral services have been scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 11, 2018 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home followed by interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT; an online register book and memorial page has been established as a place where all may share your thoughts, memories, prayers, pictures, and so much more.
