AJ DeJesus, age 17, beloved son of Adolfo DeJesus Sr. and Nadine L. Huertas has passed into the peaceful rest of the almighty God on June 19, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT. AJ as many graciously knew him, was a very joyful soul but most would probably consider him an old soul because of how he cared for everyone around him. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, but ultimately anything with two wheels was always something he looked forward to. He was the youngest of eight children but was favored by all. He always looked after his mother and siblings. Although a tragic moment may have pulled him away from our presence, it was the gift of life that shines through as there are people who today are able to say they have been touched by the life of AJ. He will be sadly missed by all.
Besides his Parents, AJ is survived by his siblings, Joel Huertas, William Pantoja, Jr., Adelina Pantoja, Raymond Soler, Jr., Giovanni DeJesus, Eliais DeJesus, and Cassidy Rosado. His grandfather Felipe Huertas and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and other friends that will dearly miss him. He was predeceased by his grandmother Dawn Hopkins.
Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, July 3, 2022, from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT, followed by a procession that will end at a candlelight vigil where everyone will gather that evening.
